To taste Da Jie Famous Wanton Noodle try to be go there early to avoid disappointment when your plate of wanton noodle is without char siew as they tend out of char siew quite fast due to the generosity of portion
Most of their menu are within the comfort pricing at only $3.
One of the best Wanton noodle stall here in Singapore. The egg noodles was those type commonly found in Honh Kong style stall or restaurant which have the springness texture. The noodle was dressed in the comforting sauce was delicious and a slight sweetness to it.
The Char Siew was quite normal however it is good to eat together with the noodle.
Most addictive were the fried wanton as they were so fried until so crispy you can hear the crunching sound as when you crunch them inside your mouth.
The soup wantons was about a thumbsized and filled with minced pork. The taste was good together with the soup in that mouthful. Just gobbled them one after another non stop.
Free flow of crispy pork lard is also available, I must said it is really crispy not like some stall their crispy pork lard already turned soft.
