Mao Shan Wang Cafe by Four Seasons Durian

For all durian lovers out there, there’s another spot for you to satisfy your durian cravings at Mao Shan Wang Cafe. Four Seasons Durians recently opened Mao Shan Wang-themed café in Chinatown serving durian flavoured confectioneries. Durian soft serve, ice cream puffs, mochi, strudel, pizza – you name it, they have it. They even serve fries with durian sauce!

We played safe and tried their Mao Shan Wang delight, consisting of durian soft serve on brownies, sprinkled with almond chips and marshmallows. The soft serve has the distinct Mao Shan Wang flavour, and went well with the brownies. We also tried their cream puff, which tasted pretty normal.

Saving the best for the last, we tried their ice cream puff, which was served on nice wooden display with dry ice for the moment, the puff was smooth and rich with durian filling. Let it defrost for a bit first before eating to for the best eating experience.

All in all, it is a pleasant durian-themed cafe with Instagrammable food items for you and your friends to hang out it, although their signature items might be on the pricey side. Their Mao Shan Wang takeaway cup at $6.80, however, is worth the money.
